Vladimir Ussachevsky
& Otto Luening ‎
"Tape Music: An Historic Concert"

LP, Desto, 1968

1968 LP release of a 1952 Tape Music performance
(perhaps the first of its kind in the US?) at the Museum
Of Modern Art in New York. It was at this time that
John Cage was assembling what would become the
most famous Tape Music piece, Williams Mix, which
would make its first public performance in March of 1953.
Side b features modern classical compositions by Luening.
